OXO Good Grips Salad Spinner: will it fit your kitchen?
Compare basket capacity, cupboard space and cleanup before buying the full-size OXO salad spinner.

What to compare ↓
The short answer
Consider this full-size spinner if you regularly prepare leafy salads and have room to store a bulky bowl. Skip it if your main need is rinsing a handful of herbs: first compare a smaller spinner or the equipment you already own. Our recommendation concerns workflow and fit, not measured drying performance.
Read the basket size, not just the bowl size
OXO lists a 6.22-quart bowl and a 4.95-quart basket, with exterior dimensions of 10.5 × 10.5 × 6 inches. The bowl capacity is not a promise of how much lettuce can spin effectively. Before buying, mark the footprint on a shelf and check clearance above it; include room to lift the lid.
Compare the complete washing routine
The documented design has a push knob, brake button and removable lid components; the basket also works as a colander. Think through where each wet component will sit after washing. An item that saves one step but crowds your drying rack may be a poor fit for a small kitchen. Do not treat spinning as a replacement for washing produce.
US and Israel buying checks
US buyers should match the SKU rather than assume all Good Grips listings are this size. Israeli buyers should request the exact model and dimensions in centimetres, then compare local purchase with import including return costs. The US manufacturer page establishes specifications, not Israeli shipping. No specific offer or lowest-price claim is recommended here.
Compare by how you will use it
| Your use | What to check before buying |
|---|---|
| Frequent salad preparation | Prioritize usable batch size and a storage position that does not require rearranging the cupboard every day. |
| Occasional herb washing | Compare a smaller tool; ask whether this bowl will earn its storage space between uses. |
Buying in the United States
Set your delivery ZIP code before comparing offers. Check shipping charges, taxes shown at checkout, the return window and whether a third-party seller handles fulfilment. A US retailer listing does not establish availability at your address.
Frequently asked questions
Will it fit a shallow drawer?
Measure the actual internal clearance, including the drawer opening. Compare it with the full product dimensions rather than a photo.
Is a bigger spinner automatically better?
No. Choose around your usual preparation quantity, storage and cleaning space. Oversizing is not useful if it discourages using the tool.
